I LOVE WEDDINGS!
It is true, my love for weddings is huge, even more so since celebrating my own wedding and I just absolutely adore spending my weekends with gorgeous brides who are about to say ‘I do’.
I believe that every bride deserves the luxury of having her makeup and hair styled by a professional on her wedding day and I am here to do just that. Your wedding morning is a huge part of your entire day and for most, the adrenaline is pumping and emotions are high. With that is mind, my calm & relaxed nature is a welcomed addition to any bridal prep.
I do everything I can to ensure that my brides have the best possible experience on their wedding day and I am happy to step in and help in any way possible to ensure that, not only does everyone look and feel their best but the whole morning runs smoothly. Over the last 9 years I have laced hundreds of dresses, placed corsages and fascinators, pinned button holes and helped with all the added extras.
Although I am highly professional with very high standards, my brides find me to be very friendly, down to earth, and happy to accommodate individual needs, whatever the style of your wedding. We will work together to create your perfect vision, which will leave you feeling fabulous and ready to say those all important words to the man or woman of your dreams.
BRIDAL GUIDE
Trial
It is essential that all Brides have a pre-wedding trial, which normally takes place between 6 to 8 weeks prior to your big day (it’s not advisable to have your trial too far in advance). I am based from a studio in Guiseley, Leeds where I greet all of my brides to be with a glass of fizz (or tea/coffee if preferred). This gives us the chance to meet each other face to face and work together to design the perfect hair and make-up look for your special day.
During the trial we will discuss your wedding in detail, looking at your chosen colour scheme, dress, flowers and accessories. It is helpful to bring along some pictures of both makeup and hair styles to allow me to get an idea of what you do and similarly don’t like. This helps me to gauge the styles you like and the look you have in mind, so I can create your own personal style for your wedding day.
During your trial we will also discuss the requirements of any other members of your bridal party, including bridesmaids, mother of the bride and flower girls. Members of the bridal party may also wish to have a trial, especially for those wanting more detailed hair styles.
Your trial will last approximately 2 hours for makeup and hair or 1 hour for just makeup or hair. I make notes of all the products used and will take numerous pictures to ensure the look can be replicated perfectly on your wedding day.
Wedding Day
On your wedding day I will arrive at the arranged location, be it your home or chosen venue, allowing time to set up before starting on hair and makeup. It’s time for you to sit back, relax and enjoy what is going to be a very special and exciting morning!
Once makeup and hair is complete and everyone is dressed, I will be on hand for finishing touches such as a lippy top up and placing your veil, as well as helping with anything else such a lacing the dress, helping with button holes, dressing flower girls etc.
